Intonation's a bastard. Best I can get is almost perfect until the 15th fret. Aaaaaall goes downhill from there.

Woah. It's changed since last night. Now everything's wrong. Too sharp until the 12th fret, and everything's too flat from there on. I know it's not all supposed to be right, but goddamn this takes the piss

just set the intonation for the 12th fret
thats about as good as your gonna get it for a fretted bass

What's you guys' recording setup, by the way? I'd like to see what methods give the best results sound-wise.

Bass - Vox Bass amPlug - minijack to minijack-cable - extender for said cable - Mic in on my PC. Nothing fancy, just a plain connection with the Vox. Gives very nice results.

I tried using an amplug but it would constantly clip on my pc and i would not be able to hear anything.
Plus the amplug wouldn't fit into the output jack of my bass so i had to run an extesnion for that and the into the pc, and headphones and it was just a mess of cables.

unless u have some stereo effects like stereo delay or auto pan and stuff like that, the bass signal is mono anyways
