Take this one, for example.
- Code:
E-3--------
A---5------
D------3h5
G----------
It starts and ends with an... F#, I think (not sure ). You can repeat it, and it sounds like a flowing, neverending riff. Your riff has a somewhat sudden end to it. Try changing it to have it end with same note as the one you started with.
Well its ment to be plays repeatedly until you just get bored. Its actually more like helping with finger speed i guess. and Akyra i can only download myself playing it but not a vid i lost my camera...

Kinda sounds like a lower version of police and theives by the clash
but its played on the 5th and 7th frets
and on the D and A string....
Actually now thinking about it... it doesnt really lol

Wherever I lay my Hat - bassline by Pino Paladino
Here's the bassline for Paul Young's version of the Marvin Gaye song Wherever I lay my hat (that's my home).
I tabbed it using guitar pro from a notation score someone had scanned and uploaded to the net so the only input I had really was to try and keep the fingering tidy.
My apologies for the relative lack of lyrics as I can't get my head around Guitar Pro's lyric system yet.
Anyhoo - if anyone can spot any glaring mistakes let me know and make some notes on the tab and I'll change it accordingly. The guitar pro version is available to members too if they want it if Dman will advise the best way of hosting it etc.
Here goes....

Bugger! It looks ok on my browser too!
Picassa gives me the option to post a link to the picture or embed the picture, embedding seemed to work for me on the Gear Photo thread?

Re: Post Your Own Lesson
Google docs looks like it does much the same thing.
See if this works for the .gp file
Wherever I Lay My Hat GP5
I made one change on the repeating section from bar 74 (the section should be repeat til fade btw) using the 5th fret on the 3rd string rahter than open on the 4th.

Osaka Jam
by Muse
Effects:
An octaver (I use EBS OctaBass)
Overdrive/Distortion/Big Muff
Coolest riff I've tabbed, really love this one. Not sure about the order of the riffs, but I'll post my approximation. Have fun!
Let the last note ring until it goes quiet by itself for a nice ending.
GUHREAT hammer-on/pull-off exercise and warmup.

Re: Post Your Own Lesson
Just something i was fiddling with a little while back.
E|-0-0-2-0--3--5-5-5-|
I've been trying to put a second bar behind it, but i'm kind of stuck as to what to do with it there.
Also, a 5 to 7 can be pasted after this bar on either the E or the A string. Simply try sliding it or make a hammer on. You can also make a 7 to 5 pull off.

I've done a bit of experimenting with that, and here's what I got... I put it in 6/4. The ~ means sustain, not vibrato as it usually does.
E|-0-0-2-0-2-3---5~~~3-5---
---1-&-2-&-3-&-4-&-5-&-6-&-
But yeah, I don't know what to do after it either
