My version of

Feel Good Inc
by Gorillaz

Really nice and simple, a cool warmup or exercise for beginners. Or for playing while posing. Smile

Tuning is Drop D (DADG)

Code:
G--------------------------------
D--------------------------------
A-----------3-2~~--------------
D-1--1-3-4--------6--6-9-8-4-1

DO NOT let the

Code:
D-1

at the end of the riff ring out!

Every once in a while you also play a slide at the end of the riff, making it

Code:
G--------------------------------------
D--------------------------------------
A-----------3-2~----------------------
D-1--1-3-4------6--6-9-8-4-1-1\13/

This seems to be played about every third time you play the main riff after playing it the second time you play the riff. So it should be played the second, fifth, eight, eleventh, etc. time you play the riff.
The slide goes back up the neck, but not all the way to the first fret.

Before the guitar solo you play

Code:
G-----------------
D-----------------
A-----------------
D-9-8-6-4-1-0-0

Make sure you don't let anything in the pre-solo riff ring out.

And that's it!

It would scare the flying fuck out of me if you really DID learn it like this, because I figured this out myself.

I think it sounds better for Feel Good inc main verse to be played like..

G|----------------|---------------
D|----------------|---------------
A|-----------3-2-|-0--0-3-2----
E|-0--0-3-2-----|-----------3-0

Plus its easier XD

It should be

G|----------------|---------------
D|----------------|---------------
A|-----------3-2-|-0--0-3-2----
E|-0--0-2-3-----|-----------3-0

The other one sounds just plain wrong. And Murdoc said in an interview that the bass he used for Feel Good Inc is tuned to Drop D (DADG), so even though it SOUNDS about right, it's wrong. The first note would have to be fret number -1 on a standard E-string. The version you posted is the one I play when I don't have the time to tune to DADG, so I definitely approve, even though it's not correct..

this is a quick funk line i whiped up after watching the "play that funky music" video of Dmans

here it is. Tell me what you think

|------------------------------------------------|
|--------------5-7--5-8------------------------|
|-----7---0-5----------------------------------|
|--5--------------------------------------------|

IMPORTANT: the open "a" is played quicker then the rest but its supposed to be fast.

I like it, but you should try to make it start and end with the same note, it gives a more "complete" feel to the riff.

Take this one, for example.

Code:
E-3--------
A---5------
D------3h5
G----------

It starts and ends with an... F#, I think (not sure Razz). You can repeat it, and it sounds like a flowing, neverending riff. Your riff has a somewhat sudden end to it. Try changing it to have it end with same note as the one you started with.
