My name is Joppe and I am from The Netherlands(and proud of it Very Happy

I've been a ghost reader on this forum forum and have nog finally registered.
I have been playing Bass for about 3 months and i am still, in many ways, pretty shait, furthermore am I really very annoying and quite thick.

I'm hoping to learn a lot on this forum and finally being abled to talk to people who do know what they are talking about when it comes to choosing musical Instruments.

I've been playing for about 7 months now... well 6, about a month was lost due to bass problems. I won't consider myself 'good' for a few years or so, so don't worry about it Smile

Hi I'm bernard & I've been playing bass now for about 25 years, for the amount of time I've been playing i should be like Victor Wooten, but sadly I'm not.

two reasons really the first being I'm lazy and the second is that I'm not all that naturally talented.

But what i lack in talent i make up for with sheer brute force & noise. I'm not what you would call a player with finesse. i make Lemmy sound like Julian Loyd Webber lol, but i love to play.

Just listened to your stuff on myspace my friend, really really good. I think you have an instinct for melody, which is rare in a bassist.

That's for you kind words which i know were filled with truth.

It is love that makes a musician, not talent.

I'm lazy as well. I try to play lots but have always got uni and other social commitments. i only end up getting a few hours in a week, which is a shame as i'd love to play more.

A few hours practice a week is fine, i'll let you into a closely guarded secret.

you don't have to lock your self in your bedroom and become a monk, because if you do you will have nothing to say musically.

go out experiance life, then play music that reflects your life, then you will always be a good musician.

Positive. That cluster of sound was the words YEAH MATE!!!!!!!!!! commonly abbreviated by me to YH M8!!!!!!!!!!
